GoldenViz is designed to check visualizations against the “Golden Rules of Data Visualization”.

The library helps users to ensure their data viz communicate the information as clearly and neutrally as possible.

While the library logic is still under development, it will systematically check for rules such as:

• Rule 1: Clear and Descriptive Titles

• Rule 2: Appropriate Use of Color (e.g. Colorblindness Accessibility)

• Rule 3: Correct Scaling and Zero Baselines for Bar Charts

• Rule 4: Data-to-Ink Ratio Optimization

• Rule 5: Avoiding Misleading 3D Effects
